The legal aspects are very clear - you can buy lenses by mail order. Make sure that the supplier has your particular brand in stock. Do not change your brand without trying on a new brand at an offline retailer. When ordering by mail - try to order the same brand that your eyes are used to.
Once you receive the lenses by mail check them carefully. Are they the same brand that you ordered? Check if they match the prescription exactly - all information about the lenses must be clearly stated. If there are any differentiations - check with your doctor. If you are dissatisfied return them and ask for a change or a refund. Do not take any risks with your eyes.
Once you are satisfied that you have received the correct lenses, get them fitted by a professional. This cost is not covered in the cost of the lenses. So factor in this cost whenever you order lenses by mail.
